The finals of the Floorball Champions Cup 2026 will take place on Saturday, 24th January 2026. The Women’s final is set to be held at the RT Torax Arena in Ostrava, Czechia, the same venue that hosted the Champions Cup finals in 2020. Meanwhile, the Men’s final will occur at the UW-Tech Arena in Falun, Sweden. The exact starting times are yet to be confirmed.
WOMEN’S FINAL
The teams competing in the Women’s final are Thorengruppen IBK (SWE) and VĂtkovice (CZE).
Thorengruppen have reached the Champions Cup final for the fourth consecutive year, having won the title in 2023 and 2024. Last year, they were defeated in the final by Pixbo with a score of 0-3. This year, the team from Umeå convincingly overcame their rivals Pixbo in both semi-final matches. Thorengruppen have been dominant in the SSL this season, sitting at the top of the table with an unbeaten record. Veera Kauppi leads the scoring charts with 42 points (25 goals and 17 assists) in 11 matches, followed by Oona Kauppi with 25 points and Maja Viström with 23 points.
TTG boasts a roster filled with star players who excelled in the recently concluded World Floorball Championships. Linn Larsson secured gold with Team Switzerland, while Jana Christianova earned a historic silver medal with the Czech team. Veera and Oona Kauppi, along with My Kippilä, brought home bronze from the WFC. Although Sweden did not claim the top medals this time, players like Maja Viström, Lovisa Hedin, and Emelie Wibron—who became the first player to reach 100 points in World Floorball Championships—remain formidable contenders. Thorengruppen are accustomed to winning and are eager to add another Champions Cup title to their accolades in 2026.
VĂtkovice have returned to the Champions Cup final after their last appearance in 2019 against IKSU. They proved to be the stronger of the two Czech teams in their semi-final clash against Tatran. Although Vitkovice have never won the Champions Cup, they have reached the final twice, in 2019 and 2014.
Currently,  VĂtkovice sit third in the Czech Extraleague, having won all nine of their matches this season. However, two of these victories have come after overtime or penalty shootouts, which has affected their points tally. In the internal points league, Daria DrzymaĹ‚a leads with a total of 10 points this season, while Nela Sikorová has scored the most goals, with a total of 7. Vendula Beránková has been the team’s assisting powerhouse, contributing 6 assists overall.
The recent WFC was historic for the Czech team, as they reached the final for the first time ever, securing silver medals. Goalkeeper Nikola PĹ™Ăleská played a crucial role in the team’s success and now could continue that form in the Champions Cup alongside Beránková and Sikorová. Sophia Sabolová represented Slovakia during the WFC, finishing in 7th place, while Maja Helman and Daria DrzymaĹ‚a played for Poland, finishing 9th. Unfortunately, Team Slovakia and Vitkovice faced a setback with the injury of Lenka ÄŚervená just before the WFC, which will significantly impact  VĂtkovice, as ÄŚervená has been a key player for them in terms of scoring.
The Champions Cup final returns to Ostrava for the first time since 2020, coinciding perfectly with the recent World Floorball Championships held in the area. The RT Torax Arena (also known as Sareza Arena) is a multi-purpose sports venue with a capacity of around 5,000 spectators, located in the Ostrava-Poruba district.
MEN’S FINAL
The teams competing in the Men’s final are Sweden’s top clubs, IBF Falun and Storvreta IBK.
Swedish champions Storvreta breezed through their semi-final series against Tatran, securing two convincing 9-3 victories to return to the Champions Cup final for the first time since 2020. Storvreta have a rich history in the competition, having won the Champions Cup multiple times, with their most recent triumph also coming in 2020.
Currently, Storvreta sit at the top of the SSL table, having won 7 matches and lost just one this season. Key players for Storvreta include Sakarias Ulriksson, who has amassed 30 points so far, Gabriel Kohonen with 28 points, and Filip Eriksson with 22 points. Both Ulriksson and Eriksson are also leading the points statistics in the Champions Cup, with Ulriksson recording 14 points and Eriksson 11 points in just 4 matches. Will they prove to be the decisive players against Falun in the final?
Falun made a crucial comeback to secure a draw and win their series against Mladá Boleslav, marking their third Champions Cup final appearance in the last four years. This competition is becoming a hallmark for Falun, given their recent performances. However, they will face their fierce rivals, Storvreta, in the final this time.
Falun currently occupies second place in the SSL table, having won 7 matches and lost 2. Their top point scorers in the SSL are Malte Lundmark with 27 points, Emil Ruud with 22 points, and Daniel Kalentun with 20 points.
Storvreta IBK and IBF Falun are longstanding rivals in Swedish floorball, frequently clashing in major finals. Their encounters are often dubbed the “Battle of the Giants,” characterised by a history of intense, high-scoring games and championships on the line. In the 2025 SSL final, Storvreta triumphed with a 6-2 victory, claiming the title of Swedish champions for the third consecutive time. The teams last met in the SSL on 21st November 2025, where Storvreta again emerged victorious, this time with a score of 5-4.
The Men’s final will be held at the UW-Tech Arena in Falun, situated within the Lugnet Sports Centre. The arena, which opened in 2005, has a capacity of approximately 2,500 spectators.
