U19 WFC 2026 Group B – Players to watch

With the Women’s U19 World Floorball Championships 2026 fast approaching we will be previewing all the groups and teams and highlighting the players to watch at the 12th Women’s U19 World Floorball Championships. Switzerland, Czechia, Slovakia and Denmark are playing in Group B.

Switzerland

“The Swiss U19 women’s national team is a tight-knit group that plays an energetic, forward-moving style of floorball.”

Rookie/Young Player – Our goalkeeper, #48 Aline Joye, supports the team from the goal with her energy. She exudes calm, passion, and a love for floorball.
She quickly identifies the most dangerous situations and positions herself so she can thwart her opponents’ attempts.

Strongest Defender – #11 Svenja Schilliger
She is very agile in one-on-one situations, full of energy, and consistently manages to break free from pressure. She repeatedly forces her opponents into harmless areas and blocks their shots.

Skillful Player – #19 Norina Reusser
She makes decisions so quickly, has an intuitive way of playing floorball, and her speed allows her to make a difference in every play.

Who represents #FairFloorball the best? – #20 Anja Gross
She remains humble in every situation and listens to everyone.

Czechia

“A team with players whose skills complement each other very well and who work great together (on and off the field). The Czech team wants to play an active, fast and attractive floorball that will be effective and successful.”

Rookie/Young Player – #17 Barbora Janošová
Despite her age, she’s a very smart player with really good skills to control the ball and is very good at offensive and defensive play.

Strongest Defender – #16 Monika Bláhová
One of our most experienced players, whom the team can always rely on. Not afraid to take responsibility. She is a good leader and will be a captain on this WFC.

Skillful Player – #26 Nikola Štekerová
Very universal player with good control of the ball, dangerous in shooting, strong and smart. She also has experience from the women’s national team and played at WFC 2025.

Who represents #FairFloorball the best? – #22 Lucie Švajcrová
One of the team leaders who motivates the others and is supportive to them. She’s always respectful to players both on and off the field.

Slovakia

“A solid performance in every single match, which we hope to turn into a medal-winning finish.”

Rookie/Young Player – #19 Sára Osuska is a young, talented player with excellent individual skills. She’s a great shooter.

Strongest Defender – #27 Zuzana Mrazová, despite her young age, already has a wealth of experience in international floorball. She is a responsible and excellent player in any position.

Skillful Player – #22 Ivana Tučekova, strong one-on-one play, good stickhandling, and ball control.

Denmark

“Our team consists of a large group of players who participated in the last U19 World Cup. These players have a lot of experience and we are looking forward to seeing them perform at this World Cup. In addition, we have filled up with new young talents who can carry the team after this World Cup. We expect our team to remain in the A group after this World Cup.The girls have a fantastic team spirit and will fight everything they can to give their family and country something they can be proud of.”

Rookie/Young Player – #17 Frida Vestergaard Frederiksen is our young player to watch. Frida is a young player who has a physique and speed beyond the ordinary. In addition, she has a good overview and is mentally strong when it comes to deciding matches.

Strongest Defender – #15 Karen Juul Thomsen is our strongest defender. Karen has been at the last U19 World Cup and the last Women’s World Cup. She is a smart defender and is good at contributing offensively.

Skillful Player – #8 Sofia Vestergaard Frederiksen is our most skilful player.
Sofia is a good 2-way player combined with the ability to run further than anyone else on her team. Sofia has the whole package when it comes to floorball.

Who represents #FairFloorball the best? – #4 Sara Vestergaard Thomsen is our represents to #FairFloorball. Sara is a really good teammate who puts all her teammates above herself. She is also a player who can tell the referee that their call should be changed because she made the mistake and not the opponent.
