The 3v3 World Floorball Championships officially kicked off on Wednesday 22nd of April with a presentation event at the Spanish National Sports Council. This marked the beginning of a key event for the international growth of the sport. The kick-off was also highlighted in Spanish sports media (Marca and as).
The event brought together institutional, sporting, and international representatives, reflecting the strong support and global projection of the championships, which will take place from 12th-14th June 2026 in San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Madrid), and will feature the participation of 51 teams (28 Men’s teams and 23 Women’s teams) from all five continents.
One of the highlights of the presentation was the video message from the President of the International Floorball Federation, Filip Šuman, who joined the launch of the championships by emphasising the importance of this competition for the development of the 3v3 format and its impact on the global expansion of floorball.
The 3v3 World Floorball Championships is shaping up to be a unique event that will bring together talent, diversity, and global visibility around a dynamic and fast-growing format.
