A week of thrilling, hot & high paced Floorball was on show as the EuroFloorball Cup and Challenge returned to Prague alongside the Czech Open tournament with the world of Floorball converging on the Czech capital in the summer heat.
Men’s EuroFloorball Cup
The Men’s EuroFloorball Cup returned after the previous edition in 2025 that was won by Norwegian side Slevik. They did not return to Prague for this years’ event so new champions were needing to be crowned.
The Men’s EuroFloorball Cup 2026 brought together four national champions from across Europe for a compact international club tournament in Prague, staged alongside the Czech Open. The event was part of the IFF’s renewed approach to the EuroFloorball Cup, which is designed to give clubs from European associations outside the Champions Cup level an opportunity to compete internationally.
The 2026 men’s field featured FBC Trenčín (Slovakia), Jõgeva SK Tähe (Estonia), UKS Bankówka Zielonka (Poland) and Besançon Floorball Club (France). FBC Trenčín emerged as the Men’s EuroFloorball Cup 2026 champions, securing the title in Prague and giving Slovakia a major success on the European club stage. UKS Bankówka Zielonka finished as runners-up, losing to the Slovak side in Overtime in a tense and thrilling final, while Jõgeva SK Tähe and Besançon also made their mark on the competition, finishing 3rd and 4th respectively.
The tournament provided an important international test for clubs from countries ranked outside the traditional Champions Cup nations ahead of their upcoming domestic leagues. Rather than simply being a secondary competition, the EFC offered these clubs the chance to gain international experience, test themselves against different playing styles and new clubs amongst raising the profile of their domestic competitions.
Women’s EuroFloorball Cup
The Women’s EuroFloorball Cup returned after the previous edition in 2025 that was won by Norwegian side SF Grei. They did not return to Prague for this years’ event alongside the Men’s champions also from Norway so likewise to the Men, new champions were needing to be crowned.
The Women’s EuroFloorball Cup 2026 brought together five national champions from across Europe and featured MFBC Leipzig (Germany), JohnnyBros Olimpia Osowa Gdańsk (Poland), CUF Leganés (Spain), U.C. Face OFF (Netherlands) & Les Dahuts du Lac (France)
MFBC Leipzig won the Women’s EuroFloorball Cup 2026 with a perfect four wins from four. Their decisive final match on Sunday was effectively a championship game against previously unbeaten Olimpia Osowa, as they both went into the contest tied on points. Olimpia took the lead through Hanna Mizik in the 4th minute, but Leipzig turned the match around with goals from Linda Schanz (19′, 32′) and Anne-Marie Mietz (22′). That victory gave Leipzig a 100% win record and the EuroFloorball Cup title.
Men’s EuroFloorball Challenge
The Men’s EuroFloorball Challenge returned after the last edition that took place in Besancon, France in 2023. 2023 champions Bankowka Zielonka were playing in the EuroFloorballCup this year adn it was the chance for a new champion to be crowned.
The Men’s EuroFloorball Challenge 2026 brought together four national champions from across Europe (after the late withdrawal of Ukrainian side FBC Lemberg and featured FBC Dragons Milano (Italy), FB Agents Amsterdam (Netherlands), London Sharks (Great Britain) and CDE El Valle (Spain)
CDE El Valle of Spain claimed the 2026 Men’s EuroFloorball Challenge title, completing an outstanding tournament in Prague. The Madrid club defeated FB Agents Amsterdam in the final to take the trophy. The Spanish champions were particularly impressive against strong international opposition, staying unbeaten throughout and finishing with a 11–2 victory over FB Agents during the final.
Overall, the Men’s EuroFloorball Challenge 2026 was a major step forward for the competition. CDE El Valle’s triumph gave Spain its latest European club success, FB Agents claimed silver for the Netherlands, FC Dragons Milano secured Italy’s bronze, and London Sharks gained valuable experience representing Great Britain. Most importantly, the successful return of the Challenge in Prague established a new platform for clubs from the wider European floorball community to compete on the international stage.
