European qualifications placement
Teams that qualify from the European qualifications will be placed into the groups based on their current U19 Men’s world rankings and not on the final placement of the teams in qualifications. As it stands Netherlands (11) are the highest ranked team in European qualifications and if they were to qualify, they would placed into group D as the highest ranked team from the EUR1 & EUR2 qualifications
The draw sets up several intriguing early encounters. Group A brings together four established European floorball nations, including Sweden who have the most Men’s U19 World Championships with 6 in total while Group B features hosts Latvia alongside Denmark and the two finalists from 2024, Finland and Czechia. Japan will face a challenging European-heavy Group C, and Group D will provide an opportunity for Canada, Singapore and Australia to test themselves against one of Europe’s leading sides as the best world ranked qualifier takes the final spot in the group.
With the groups now taking shape, attention turns towards the European qualification process in September in Spain and Estonia which will then make way for the final preparations for what promises to be an exciting Men’s U19 World Floorball Championships in Riga in February 2027.
