UFC Utrecht – MKŠS FBK Kysucké Nové Mesto 🇳🇱🇸🇰| 2-7
The Slovak side wasted no time going on the attack, finding the back of the net just 14 seconds after the opening whistle. This woke up the Dutch team, who tightened their defence in the following minutes. Around the 10th minute, Utrecht conceded two quick goals, looking a little scattered. In the final 8 minutes of the period, however, they managed to settle again, and MKŠS FBK Kysucké Nové Mesto’s high press didn’t lead to further success. Period score: 0–4.
The second period began much like the first — with the Slovaks scoring in the third minute to extend their lead. But this time, Utrecht surprised their opponents with organised and disciplined play. Their efforts paid off in the last 90 seconds of the period, scoring twice — the second goal coming from a turnover. A key factor in the Dutch success this period was their goalkeeper, who made 15 saves in the second frame alone. Period score: 2–1.
In the final period, the Slovak champions regained momentum and netted two more goals. The Dutch side could not capitalise on their chances, and the game finished 2–7.
👏 Congratulations MKŠS FBK Kysucké Nové Mesto! A dominant performance with quick early goals set the tone for a convincing win.
SF Grei – MFBC Leipzig 🇩🇪🇳🇴| 6-3
A lot was at stake in this match — if Leipzig won, they would become the women’s EuroFloorball Cup 2025 champions. Mathematically, only these two teams still had a chance at the title, so the tension was high.
Both sides started evenly, the Norwegians relying on a calm, composed game plan, while the Germans brought a fast, energetic approach. After 10 goalless minutes, Grei found their rhythm, scoring two similar goals within 90 seconds. They added another from a patient build-up, but the game still felt balanced, both teams ended the period with eight shots each. Period score: 3–0.
Leipzig came out flying in the second period, scoring twice in the first six minutes to cut the deficit to one. Grei stuck to their composed tactics despite the pressure. Leipzig kept up their fast-paced game but couldn’t find another goal, while Grei extended their lead with a calm finish. Period score: 1–2.
The third period was also evenly contested, with both teams attacking and defending in turns. The Norwegians struck again, Leipzig answered, but Grei responded with another, and Leipzig couldn’t come back despite pulling their goalkeeper late in the game. Final score: 6–3.
👏 Congratulations SF Grei! Calm, composed play under high pressure secured their spot in the women’s final.
UKS Bankówka Zielonka – Tsunami Záhorská Bystrica 🇵🇱🇸🇰| 1–6
The opening match of the day started at a high tempo, with both sides creating big chances, hitting the post, and forcing strong saves. It was also a physically intense battle, but neither team could convert — even during power-play opportunities. Period score: 0–0.
The second period continued at the same pace. No goals were scored in the first 10 minutes, but a Slovak penalty disrupted both teams’ strategies. The short-handed side failed to get back in time after a press, and although Reiger had made some incredible saves earlier, he couldn’t stop the breakaway finish. The Slovaks then equalised with a long-range goal, making it 1–1 after two periods.
In the first five minutes of the final period, Tsunami pulled ahead with a close-range goal. Zielonka lost focus briefly, allowing another calm, precise finish. The match became even more physical, with both sides creating more chances. After a disallowed goal, the Polish side went down a player, and the Slovaks immediately scored a solo goal, then added another to keep momentum. Zielonka kept attacking but couldn’t beat the outstanding Slovak goalkeeper Reiger. Final score: 1–6.
👏 Congratulations Tsunami Záhorská Bystrica! A powerful last period and clinical finishing sealed a strong victory.
Slevik IBK – CUF Leganés 🇳🇴🇪🇸| 6-3
The second semi-final of the day promised to be another intense encounter. Less than a minute in, Slevik had already found the net. The pace stayed high, and when Leganés received a two-minute penalty for an incorrect substitution, Slevik doubled their lead. The Spaniards responded within a minute, but the Norwegians replied in kind just seconds later. The match then evened out, but Slevik scored again before the break. Period score: 4–1.
Statistically, the second period may not look thrilling, but it was full of action. Leganés increased their tempo and defended with discipline, their goalkeeper making several excellent saves. The Spaniards broke through with a goal and won the period 0–1.
The final 20 minutes began with the same energy from Leganés, who scored quickly to come within one goal of the Norwegian champions. Slevik answered almost immediately to restore their cushion. The rest of the period was evenly matched, and the Norwegians sealed a 6–3 win with a late goal.
👏 Congratulations Slevik IBK! Solid start and quick responses to Spanish pressure booked their ticket to the men’s final.
London Sharks FC – UFC Utrecht🇬🇧🇳🇱 | 5-6 (P)
The first period saw just one goal — a testament to how tightly contested the game was. Both teams played disciplined, organised floorball, with strong goaltending on both ends. Despite the even play, the Sharks managed to take the lead. Period score: 1–0.
The second period kept the same fast, physical rhythm. Less than a minute in, a London penalty gave Utrecht the chance to equalise — and they took it. The Sharks regained the lead soon after, only for Utrecht to level again. The Sharks couldn’t convert a late 5-on-3 advantage, and the period ended 1–2.
The final frame started with the same tense balance. When the Sharks were penalised for an incorrect substitution, Utrecht took the lead. Maintaining their tempo, the Dutch side scored again in the 46th minute. A Utrecht penalty gave the Sharks a lifeline, which they took to make it a one-goal game. Another Dutch penalty saw London equalise with six minutes left, cranking up the tension.
Then came the drama — with 90 seconds to go, the Sharks scored what looked like the game-winner, but Utrecht struck back just 30 seconds from time to force the tournament’s first penalty shootout. Even the shootout had twists: the Sharks started with a save to gain the advantage, but Utrecht turned it around and won both the shootout and their final match of the tournament. Final score: 5–6.
👏 Congratulations UFC Utrecht! A thrilling battle decided by penalties — and the Dutch side kept their cool to claim the win.
