The World Games Women 2025 – Group B
Canada 1–14 Singapore (Spectators: 621)

Singapore delivered a dominant performance against Canada, securing a 14–1 victory in their last group stage game. The game started with an explosive opening, as captain Nasha Jeffri scored just 20 seconds in. By the first break, Singapore was already 4–0 ahead.

The second period saw relentless offensive pressure, with Michelle Lok, Xuan Yeo, and Jie Ying Lim extending the lead to 7–0. Canada struggled to contain the pace and precision of Singapore’s attack.

In the final frame, goals came thick and fast from multiple scorers including Nur Yuanna S Ralli, Jazzy Tan, and Swee Ling Ong. Canada’s lone goal came late from Jessica Crosthwaite, but Singapore answered immediately to close out a comprehensive win.

The World Games Women 2025 – Group A
Sweden 15–4 Slovakia (Spectators: 1,206)

Sweden continued their impressive run at The World Games with a commanding 15–4 victory over Slovakia in Group A.

After a scoreless opening minutes, Wilma Johansson broke the deadlock with a penalty shot at 6:23. Sweden built steady momentum, with Maja Viström, Emelie Wibron, Mira Markström, and Hanna Nordstrand all finding the net to make it 5–0 by the start of the second period.

Slovakia hit back through Paulína Hudáková, Lenka Cervena and Alexandra Faktorova, but Sweden’s attack quickly regained control. The third period turned into a goal festival, with goal from Johansson, Moa Andersson, Ellen Rasmussen, Lisa Carlsson, and Ellen Lundin adding to the tally. Lundin capped the scoring in the final minute for a 15–4 final.

Sweden’s offensive depth and relentless pace left Slovakia struggling to keep up, underlining why the Scandinavians are strong contenders for gold in Chengdu.

The World Games Men 2025 – Group A
Switzerland 18–0 Philippines (Spectators: 653)

Switzerland delivered a dominant performance against the Philippines, securing an emphatic 18–0 win in their Group A clash in Chengdu.

From the opening seconds, the Swiss attack was relentless. Stefan Hutzli struck just 46 seconds in, with Jan Zaugg and Marco Louis extending the lead to 3–0 by the first break. The second period saw Switzerland turn on the scoring machine, led by multiple contributions from Yannic Fitzi and Marco Louis, making it 10–0 by the second intermission.

The final 15 minutes were one-way traffic, as Persici, Burki, Conrad, and Fitzi piled on more goals. Matteo Steiner’s strike capped off the rout at 18–0, underlining Switzerland’s firepower and flawless start to the tournament.

The World Games 2025 – Men’s Group A
Sweden 7 – 1 Latvia
Spectators: 802

In front of 802 spectators, Sweden secured a convincing 7–1 victory over Latvia in their Men’s Group A clash at The World Games 2025. The match saw Sweden take an early lead through Hampus Nydenfeldt just 35 seconds in, but Latvia struck back via Gustavs Griezītis to level the score 1–1.

From there, Sweden gradually took control. Filip Eriksson restored the lead before the second break, and early in the final period, quick strikes from Oskar Weissbach, Linus Holmgren and Sakarias Ulriksson broke the game open. Latvia struggled to contain Sweden’s pace, and late goals from Oscar Magnusson Lindholm and Malte Lundmark sealed the win.

With this result, Sweden secured their place in the semi-finals of The World Games 2025.

The World Games 2025 – Men’s Goup B
Canada 15 – 1 China
Spectators: 2,015

Canada delivered a dominant performance against hosts China, cruising to a 15–1 victory in their Men’s Group B matchup at The World Games 2025.

The Canadians came out firing, with Cedric Grenapin and Tristan Walsh helping establish a 3–0 lead within the first five minutes. By the 16th minute the game was already 7-0 highlighted by Steven Friedli’s pair of goals.

China found a moment to cheer early in the second period when Zhiliang Tang scored to make it 7–1(and opened the score for China in this event) but Canada responded in style. Cameron Buck, Grenapin, Patrick Mahoney, Justin Knight, Isaac Kashino and Alex Jette all added to the tally in a relentless final surge.
