The World Games 2025 takes place in Chengdu, China from the 7th – 17th August. The Floorball competition will be held from 6th – 13th August at Xindu Xiangcheng Sports Centre in the north-east of Chengdu. Below are all the details you need to keep up with the third ever edition of Floorball competition at The World Games!
Playing system
The Floorball competition will be held from 6th – 13th August, starting even before the official Opening Ceremony! There will be 8 men’s teams and for the first time ever 8 Women’s teams both separately divided into two groups.
Men – Group A includes Sweden, Latvia, Switzerland & Philippines with Group B having Finland, Czechia, Canada & China
Women – Group A consists of Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia & Thailand. Group B has Finland, Czechia, Singapore & Canada
The first five days will be group matches, followed by semi-finals, placement and medal matches. Teams will have a maximum of 14 players and up to 4 officials. Game time will be 3 x 15 minutes. Only in the play-off stages will there be extra time and penalty shots, if required. A total of 36 Floorball games will be played at TWG 2025, 18 games for each gender.
Streaming & Schedule
All Floorball matches at The World Games 2025 will be live streamed on both the IFF App and The World Games LIVE platform. The World Games Live is available for both desktop and mobile. You can download it from the Apple Store and in the Play Store by searching for “The World Games Live”. The live streams of matches are available worldwide and it is free of charge. You can also access it via web browser on the link here The World Games LIVE platform
All matches will also be streamed on the IFF App for 1.99€ per game and 2.99€ for the whole event pass. The match replays will be available there once the event is over. Please head to the IFF App to keep up to date with results, scores and highlights from Chengdu 2025 free of charge! Only the live streams will be behind a paywall on the IFF App.
Finland, Sweden and Czechia will stream their games on their own platform in their local language. Please see their social channels for more information on broadcasts in their local languages.
