Thailand are the champions of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2025, clinching victory in both the men’s and women’s tournaments.
Earlier today, Singapore’s reign in women’s floorball came to an end when the three-time champions were defeated 2-1 by the host nation, Thailand, in the final. Singapore had previously triumphed in the women’s event at three SEA Games editions (2015, 2019, and 2023), with Thailand finishing as the runner-up each time. This time, however, it was Thailand’s moment to celebrate in front of their home crowd, with Praphaphon Bunsuk scoring the decisive goal in the final.
On the men’s side, Thailand successfully defended their title from the 2023 SEA Games, defeating the Philippines 6-2 in the final. Liam Kerdsawangwong was the standout player, netting a hat-trick to secure the victory. With this win, Thailand have now claimed gold three times in the SEA Games, having previously won in 2019, 2023, and now 2025.
The Philippines were successful in the penalty shootout, clinching the bronze medals ahead of Malaysia on the women’s side.
