Vítkovice and Thorengruppen will play in the 2026 Champions Cup final

Thorengruppen are in the Champions Cup final for the fourth year in a row while Vítkovice last made it to the Champions Cup final in 2019. The 2026 final will be played in January 2026 and both the date and location are still to be confirmed.

Tatran Střešovice v 1. SC Vítkovice

Date: 12th November
Venue: Sportovní centrum Řepy, Prague, Czechia

The match began with a strong offensive display from Tatran Střešovice, who took an early lead at 5:23 with a goal from Aneta Machulkova. This initial advantage energized the home crowd and set the tone for the first period. However, Vítkovice quickly regrouped and began to apply pressure. As the period progressed, Vítkovice’s Maja Helman leveled the score at 19:07 with a power-play goal, assisted by Lenka Cervena. The first period ended with both teams tied at 1-1, setting up an exciting second period.

The second period saw a shift in momentum as Vítkovice began to dominate the play. They took the lead at 20:32 when Veronika Rybickova scored, making it 2-1. Tatran Střešovice fought back and managed to equalize again at 28:57 with a goal from Linda Fuchsova, but Vítkovice responded swiftly. At 36:59, Malwina Zagorska scored to give Vítkovice a 3-2 lead, assisted by Rybickova. The period concluded with Vítkovice firmly in control, leading 3-2.

The final period saw Tatran Střešovice desperately trying to mount a comeback. However, Vítkovice’s defence held strong, and they extended their lead further. Vendula Berankova scored at 47:16 making it 4-2, followed by Nela Sikorova’s goal at 47:16, pushing the score to 5-2.

Lenka Cervena found the empty net at 57:34 and that sealed the game. Vítkovice won 6-2 and will play in the 2026 Champions Cup final.

Pixbo IBK v Thorengruppen IBK

Date: 13th November
Venue: Wallenstam Arena, Mölnlycke, Sweden

The match kicked off with both teams eager to establish control. Thorengruppen struck first at 1:54, with Maja Viström finding the back of the net, assisted by Oona Kauppi. This early goal set the tone for the game. Thorengruppen continued to press, and at 4:54, Emelie Wibron scored on a power play, assisted by My Kippilä, extending their lead to 2-0. The momentum remained with TTG, and Oona Kauppi scored at 14:01, making it 3-0, with Viström providing the assist. The first period ended with Thorengruppen firmly in control.

As the second period commenced, Pixbo attempted to regroup. However, Thorengruppen’s offensive pressure was relentless. At 23:53, Oona Kauppi scored again, increasing the lead to 4-0, assisted by her sister, Veera Kauppi. Pixbo finally found their footing and responded at 29:56 when Ellen Lundin finished a beautiful goal. But this joy did not last as Maja Viström made it 5-1 for Thorengruppen.

The final period saw Pixbo trying to mount a comeback, but Thorengruppen’s defence held strong. Emelie Wibron capped off her impressive performance with her third goal of the match at 53:42, assisted by Cajsa Alm, sealing the victory at 7-2.
