WFC 2025 Group A – Players to Watch

With the Women’s World Floorball Championships 2025 fast approaching we will be previewing all the groups and teams and highlighting the players to watch at the 15th Women’s World Floorball Championships. Next up is Group A consisting of Switzerland, Czechia, Latvia, Denmark

Switzerland

Czechia
We have a very young and dynamic team that will showcase a modern, fast, and technical style of play. A team that will stick together under all circumstances and fight for victory until the very last second of every game it plays at the World Championship. A team that will fight for each other, for its fans, and for the entire country.

Rookie/Young Player #7 Anna Bruchackova
She is still among the youngest players, yet she consistently performs at a high international level. She has a strong drive toward the goal, is technically skilled, and always plays for her team no matter the circumstances.

Strongest Defender#24 Denisa Ratajova
With incredible power, speed and dueling strength, she is incredibly difficult to face, both in running duels and close combat.

Skillful Player#11 Karolina Klubalova
Despite her young age, she is a player who consistently makes an impact at the international level. She always finds original solutions, is technically very skilled, and her intentions are extremely difficult for opponents to read. With her creativity, she can both entertain the audience and help her team.

A calm force, a quiet leader in all circumstances. Fair play is in her DNA — she always conducts herself on the field with respect and integrity towards both opponents and referees.

Latvia
We are a young and highly motivated team with a lot of offensive potential. Our main focus will be to fight for the win in every game.

Rookie/Young Player #41 Simona Grapena
Will make opponents scared to face her. She is very fast with lot’s of technique and very dangerous near the goal.

Strongest Defender#59 Evelina Garbare
She has a lot of high level experience and understands the game really well.

Skillful Player#77 Aurēlija Zariņa
A big desire to win every duel on the field.

She wins most of face-offs on court but off the court is smiley, positive and lifts the mood of everyone around her.

Denmark
“We are heading into the World Championship with a strong and dedicated national team, built on talent, hard work, and unity. The squad consists of selected athletes who have shown high quality and development throughout the season and are now ready to take the next step on the international stage. Our expectations for the championship are ambitious yet realistic. We aim to perform at the highest level, achieve results, and continue growing as a team. We believe that our preparation, team spirit, and determination to fight for each other will make a difference. We look forward to representing Denmark and showing what we stand for – both in sport and in character.

Rookie/Young Player #96 Liv Petersen
One of the most promising young goalkeepers in her age group. She stands out with an impressive combination of physical strength, explosive speed, and technical skill. Her throws are powerful and precise, making her a key asset in transitioning to attack. She commands the goal area with natural authority and shows great maturity in her decision-making, both under pressure and in building play from the back. A player with significant potential, definitely worth keeping an eye on in the coming years.

Strongest Defender#13 Martina Morch
A highly experienced fullback from Malmö, with numerous international appearances to her name. She brings a deep understanding of the game at the highest level and consistently demonstrates both physical strength and tactical intelligence. Her ability to read the game and make smart decisions under pressure makes her a reliable presence in the back line. With her leadership and calmness, she elevates the defensive structure and sets the tone for the team. A true asset with proven quality on the international stage.
