U19 WFC 2026 Group A – Players to watch

With the Women’s U19 World Floorball Championships 2026 fast approaching we will be previewing all the groups and teams and highlighting the players to watch at the 12th Women’s U19 World Floorball Championships. Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Poland are playing in Group A.

Sweden

“Team Sweden can most easily be described as a team that wishes to play a creative and offensive floorball. A good mixture of different qualities, hungry talent and most notably, a lot of players who can’t wait to play a crucial role in big games. During World Championships you can expect us to play a spectator friendly, entertaining and offensive floorball, but most significantly a team that thrives on winning matches and is hungry to lift the WFC-trophy!” 

Rookie/Young Player – #70 Alva Pettersson
Extremely established for her young age and has the ability to score from any angle and can be the deciding factor.

Strongest Defender – #11 Jonna Lindgren
A great defender, and more specifically when it comes to one-to-one defending. Her strongest quality is winning the ball and putting her co-players in good positions.

Skillful Player – #24 Elin Wadell
An all round player who trives on making a difference. She works extremely hard all over the field, and in both directions. Very skilful and is a great leader for team Sweden.

Ellen represents fair play and is very respectful towards both co-players and opponents.

Finland

We are a talented and unified team committed to winning. Spectators will enjoy our fast-paced, skillful play.

When Leea has the ball, teams from both sides don’t know what will happen next.

Strongest Defender – #27 Jenna Potinoja
Rock-solid leader both on and off the rink.

Skillful Player – #13 Natalie Sandström
Magician and a grace-made wizard.

Norway

The team is striving to become better every day and in the future be the best of what this team can be.

Rookie/Young Player – #7 Maiken Enge-Kristiansen is a skilful young player.

Strongest Defender – #22 Sofie Terjesen is our strongest player.

Skillful Player – #8 Inger Helene Urberg is our most skilful player.

Poland

Team Poland U19 is an exceptionally young and promising squad, with many players making their debut at this level. Despite limited experience, we are driven by ambition, passion, and a strong desire to grow with every match. We focus on learning, supporting each other, and building team chemistry both on and off the field. Our energy and determination allow us to compete with courage and confidence. Together, we are proud to represent our country, gaining valuable experience and striving to achieve the best possible results.

Rookie/Young Player – #5 Łucja Iwaniec
A very talented and dynamic young player. She stands out with her speed, confidence on the ball, and great potential for the future in the club and at the international level.

Strongest Defender – #7 Cecylia Chomnicka
A solid, reliable and expirienced at international level defender, strong in one-on-one situations. She reads the game very well and brings stability and composure to the defensive line.

Skillful Player – #36 Kinga Stein
An exceptionally creative player with outstanding technical abilities. She can change the course of the game with her individual skills and vision on the field.

Who represents #FairFloorball the best? – #19 Marta Pracoń
A true team player who always shows respect, fair play, and a positive attitude. She leads by example both on and off the field.
