The International Floorball Federation (IFF) has published the official evaluation report for the IFF Women’s World Floorball Championships 2025 (WFC 2025), confirming record-breaking results across attendance, fan engagement and stakeholder satisfaction metrics.
Held in Brno and Ostrava, the event marked the return of the women’s flagship floorball event to Czechia after 12 years. The tournament attracted a cumulative attendance of 67,736 – the highest in the women’s WFC history – with record crowds on both the opening day and during the medal matches. This has translated into the estimated Kč 89.1 million (€3.7 million) in direct economic impact for the host cities through visitor spending and organisational expenditure.
With Switzerland winning its second-ever title and host nation Czechia’s strong performance boosting engagement from local audiences, the event also achieved very high spectator and athlete satisfaction levels. 95% of spectators and 96% of athletes described their experience as good or very good, in particular praising the overall atmosphere.
The tournament has also delivered strong media reach:
- Global cumulative TV audience reached 5.8 million.
- TV audience in Czechia nearly doubled from previous Women’s WFC averages to 1.6 million viewers.
- Social media metrics surpassed all previous records with more than 19 million impressions and nearly 360,000 engagements across the IFF channels only.
Commenting on the evaluation results, John Liljelund, IFF Secretary General, stated:
– This report give the IFF and the Local Organising Committees of the main events a clear picture of performance indicators  that we want to measure the event with. This will help us to make the events even better and direct resources where they are mostly needed.
The report was produced by Quantum Consultancy which continues to provide strategic evaluation services to the IFF as part of a long-term agreement, helping measure progress towards goals within the IFF Strategy 2021-2032.
